Gold Coast, January 11 – A three-quarter brother by Fastnet Rock to Snitzel, our blue-blooded young sire Hinchinbrook had 13 yearlings sell at an average $123,077 during the premium first four sessions at the 2014 Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
His top seller was a gorgeous colt from Belle Amici consigned for sale by Yarraman Park and bought by Gai Waterhouse/James Harron Bloodstock for $250,000.
The most expensive filly by Hinchinbrook was an athletic bay from Lady Beckworth, who is a half-sister to the dam of champion mare Atlantic Jewel and her Group I winning three-quarter sister Commanding Jewel.
The star filly was offered by Bell River Thoroughbreds and secured by McKeever Bloodstock for $220,000.
Hinchinbrook had eight yearlings sell for upwards of $100,000 and his progeny went to all the good judges.
Hinchinbrook stood and stands at a fee of $16,500, so has been a profitable sire for his supporters in returning more than seven times his service fee.
