I Am Invincible and Magic Albert both posted winners at Sha Tin on Sunday with Molly’s Jade Star winning the opening event to end a frustrating run of second placings, while exciting three year-old Bad Boy confirmed his potential for the John Moore stable. I Am Invincible gelding Bad Boy was a $30,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Sefton Park Thoroughbreds draft for Kennewell Racing and after winning two of his first three starts in explosive fashion for Lloyd Kennewell in Adelaide was on-sold to Hong Kong. Unplaced when making his Hong Kong debut on March 9, when he was difficult to load and slowly away, Bad Boy redeemed himself with this tidy effort, powering to the line to win over 1000 metres by three-quarters of a length in Class Three company. He is one of two winners from Pins mare Andneedles. A $26,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Yarraman Park draft, four year-old Molly’s Jade Star had been placed second six times previous and finally broke through to win over 1400 metres as favourite. Molly’s Jade Star is the second winner for Catbird mare Grand Bird, whose I Am Invincible yearling filly made $80,000 for Yarraman Park earlier this year at Magic Millions.
