The Listed ATC Rosebud Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on Saturday drew a quality field of progressive three year-olds with Tiz Invincible casting off maiden status to score a stylish short neck win over speedy colts Introducing and The Instructor.

Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Tiz Invincible was fourth in the Group III Canberra Black Opal on debut in the autumn and then second to Hellbent filly Kristilli in the $1million Group II ATC Percy Sykes Stakes.

Spelled after those efforts, she was fit and ready to go after two recent trials, but there is much improvement to come.

“You don’t often break your maiden in stakes races, especially in the field like that,” Ciaron Maher said.

“She has always been a quality filly and has a huge pedigree.

“She was a little slow to begin, but I didn’t mind. In the mid stages, she got up on the bridle, and I thought, being a bit soft, she might feel that late, but her quality kicked in.

“She is a proper racehorse – the way she had to push out and make her own luck and still knuckle down.”

Maher said either the Group II $300,000 Furious Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick on September 2 of the Group II $300,000 Run To The Rose (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens a week later is likely to be Tiz Invincible’s next start.

Bred by Phoenix Thoroughbreds, Tiz Invincible was a $550,000 purchase for Bahen Bloodstock / Ciaron Maher Racing / Eric Lucas from the Segenhoe Stud draft at the 2022 Inglis Australian Easter Sale.

She is the second foal of Amuletum (GB), a half-sister by New Approach to 9-time Group 1 winner Anamoe from the Group I SAJC Australasian Oaks winner Anamato.

Tiz Invincible is the 98th stakes-winner for Yarraman Park Stud’s reigning champion stallion I Am Invincible and is his second this season.
