Melbourne – Resuming from a spell to cast off maiden status at Cranbourne on Friday night was a talented three year-old Fastnet Rock gelding prepared by Peter Moody.
Not beaten far in two starts back in the spring, Tan Tat Rock has obviously returned a better horse and looked good in winning the 1200 metre maiden in impressive style.
He settled back in the field for Daniel Stackhouse form a wide gate and charged to the line over the concluding stages to surge clear and win by a length.
Tan Tat Rock was a $200,000 Magic Millions purchase for his trainer from the draft of Yarraman Park and is the first foal of Husson Circle, who comes from an international family packed with Black Type performers.
