A Black Type win by smart prospect Tipungwuti in the Listed SAJC 3YO Classic at Morphettville on Monday has provided an instant pedigree update for two Easter yearlings to be offered by Yarraman Park Stud.
A three year-old gelding by Fusaichi Pegasus (USA), the Mark Kavanagh trained Tipungwuti has always shown promise but could be on the verge of realizing his potential after this strong finishing win over 1600 metres.
A $330,000 purchase from the 2005 Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale, Tipungwuti comes from a superb family being out of Group Two winner So Gorgeous, a member of the renowned Denise’s Joy clan.
Yarraman Park Stud will offer two yearlings from the immediate family of Tipungwuti at the 2007 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale starting with Lot 131, a bay colt by Lonhro from outstanding producer Crowning Jewel, dam of So Gorgeous and Group Three winners Wild Queen and Cumbria.
Next on offer is Lot 350, a stylish bay filly by Red Ransom (USA) from Morinda, a winning half-sister to So Gorgeous, Wild Queen and Cumbria.
