Well known owner/ breeder Linda Huddy will be at the races at the Gold Coast this Saturday to cheer her promising three year-old colt Most Important in the $2million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas and at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale on Friday, she outlaid $500,000 to secure his full brother. Consigned for sale by Yarraman Park, the handsome bay colt by I Am Invincible is a sibling to three winners from good producer Orange Marmalade (NZ), a half-sister by Stravinsky (USA) to Group III winners Just a Dream and Forfar. Interviewed after the sale for Sky Racing, Mrs Huddy confessed that he was the most expensive horse she has bought. “We have his brother and his sister and he’s a mixture of the two,” she said. “It was a bit more than I thought, but obviously other people liked him too.” Mrs Huddy purchased Most Important from this sale in 2014 for $260,000 and his full sister last year for $210,000. While the filly is yet to be named, the colt has proven more than useful winning three races and over $154,000 in prizemoney with a close last start second in the Group III Vo Rogue Plate putting him right in the picture for the 3YO Guineas this Saturday. He is prepared by Tony Gollan, who is also to train Mrs Huddy’s new acquisition. After producing three consecutive foals to I Am Invincible for Yarraman Park, Orange Marmalade has had a switch to Yarraman’s other topline young sire Hinchinbrook and has a filly foal by him and was covered again by him last spring. I Am Invincible added another highlight on Friday when his Yarraman consigned colt from River’s Secret sold for $525,000 to the bid of Jackie Chan/Little Kwok Hing Hung/Bahen Bloodstock.
