Yarraman Park’s champion sire I Am Invincible set the standard at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale with 31 yearlings selling for $24,455,000 at an average $788,871 to have the highest aggregate and average of all sires.

He had nine individual million-dollar yearlings with his top colt being Newhaven Park’s $1.55million colt from English and the top filly was Yarraman Park’s $1.35million filly from Heavens Above

Yarraman Park sold 15 yearlings for $8,475,000 and reeled off three consecutive million dollar youngsters by I Am invincible on Tuesday starting with the half-sister to Group I winner Booker that sold for $1million.

She is the seventh foal of good producing Flying Spur mare Noondie, who is also the dam of Group II placed stakes-winner Banquo in addition to Group I MRC Oakleigh Plate winner Booker, whose first foal, a colt by I Am Invincible sold for $2.5 million at Magic Millions.

The star filly was bought by Australian Bloodstock, who announced their intentions prior to the sale to spend a little more on top class fillies with the view to capitalize on the elite broodmare market that has proven very rewarding for the owners of stakes class fillies.

“Obviously she fit the profile of what we are trying to do,” Australian Bloodstock’s Jamie Lovett told Jemma Cutting of Inglis.

“She looks to me more of a three year-old type, she’s an unmade sort of filly with so much upside in her pedigree.

“A million is a lot, but we think she’s well bought and if she can run, she’ll be worth plenty from this family.”

Noondie was bought by Mitchel Bloodstock at the 2019 Inglis Chairman’s Sale for $600,000 and has a filly to follow by I Am Invincible and is back in foal to him again.

Yarraman Park didn’t have to wait long to sell another million dollar youngster with the full brother to Group III winning sprinter King of Sparta from Octavia selling for $1.3million (header picture).

The colt was bred by Yarraman in partnership with Hilton Cope and was bought by China Horse Club/Newgate/Go/Trilogy.

Octavia is back in foal to I Am Invincible after sadly losing her colt foal by the champion sire last spring.

The hat-trick came up shortly after for Yarraman Park when the colt from stakes-placed Exceed and Excel mare Overstep sold for $1.2million to Tom Magnier.

Overstep has a colt to follow by I Am Invincible and is back in foal to him again.
