The Annabel Neasham-trained Holyfield stopped the clock at a track record 1.07.74 when leading home a 1-2 for I Am Invincible in Saturday’s Listed Aquis Stallions Keith Noud Quality (1200m) at Doomben.

Given a positive ride by Brodie Loy, Holyfield defeated the favourite Garibaldi (I Am Invincible) by one and a quarter lengths.

With his fourth stakes success, Holyfield advances his record to seven wins, two seconds, and two thirds from 25 starts with earnings of $789,190.

Originally trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace for Aquis, Holyfield was sold through the 20201 Inglis Digital July (late) Sale for $180,000 and transferred to Neasham as the winner of four of nine starts.

An $800,000 Magic Millions purchase for Phoenix Thoroughbreds and Aquis from the Segenhoe draft, Holyfield is a brother to stakes-placed Vamos Bebe.

He is the best of four winners from five to race from the Group I VRC Myer Classic winner Hurtle Myrtle, who Segenhoe bought for $1million at the 2012 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.

Holyfield was one of five winners on Saturday for I Am Invincible, who is the leading Australian sire by winners this season with 78 on the board so far, seven of them stakes-winners!
