Hong Kong, November 19 – Making it two wins in as many starts at Sha Tin in Hong Kong on Sunday was the Danny Shum trained gelding Little Cow, a $240,000 purchase for Magus Equine from the Yarraman Park draft at the 2010 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale.

A four year-old son of Holy Roman Emperor (IRE), Little Cow (pictured HKJC) produced another brilliant effort to lead throughout and win the 1200 metre Class Three sprint by four lengths.

Jumping well from gate 10, Little Cow revealed his natural early speed to take the lead along the fence in a fast sectional and he kept accelerating in the straight to finish the six-furlong event in a time of 1m9.46s.

Shum said his unbeaten star has the potential to compete with the big guns in the future.

“We’re quite confident before the race as he’s a horse with plenty potential and we will be very competitive at higher levels or some overseas campaign,” he said.

Little Cow was bred by Rheinwood Pastoral and is a half-brother to stakes-winner Insistence being one of five winners from the good producer Opportune, who has a yearling colt by Magic Albert and produced a filly by Yarraman Park’s exciting young sire Hinchinbrook this spring.
