Tasmania, July 8 – Magic Albert featured in Tasmania on Sunday when the Prime Thoroughbreds owned filly Greenmount Belle trounced her rivals in the two year-old maiden over 1100 metres winning by a staggering eight and a half lengths.

Resuming from a spell of 19 weeks, Greenmount Belle was sent out hot favourite and gave nothing else a chance in running right up to her previous start back on February 28, when she finished fourth to subsequent stakes-winner Extension of Time in the $100,000 Magic Millions Tasmanian Two Year Old Classic.

Greenmount Belle was secured for just $10,000 by Joe O’Neill’s Prime Thoroughbreds at the 2006 Magic Millions Yearling Sale during Session Five and was sent straight to Tasmania to join the stable of leading trainer Charlie Goggin.

Bred by Mrs Catherine Remond and offered for sale by Willow Park Stud she is the fifth and final foal of the Red Anchor mare Noonabelle, a half-sister to stakes-placed Delfina, dam of Group One placed Isn’t She Gorgeous.

Greenmount Belle is one of 39 winners this season for Magic Albert who will stand at a fee of $16,500.
