Sydney, February 13 – With just two yearlings on offer at the 2007 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, Magic Albert was never going to make a huge impression, but both sold exceptionally well with his colt from Happy Camper fetching $150,000 for Huntworth Stud in a great result from a sire who stands at just $10,000.

The first foal of a young Grand Lodge (USA) mare in Happy Camper, Lot 447 combined the better qualities of both Magic Albert and Grand Lodge (USA), attracting plenty of attention in pre-sale discussion.

Eventually knocked down to Lee Curtis, he provided Huntworth with their best result at this sale apart from their Danzero colt from Floribunda that made $160,000.

Also a good result was the half-brother by Magic Albert to stakes-winner Shepishir that made $100,000 for Guntawang Stud.

Classy Magic Albert filly Lieserl showed promise of better things to come this campaign when she resumed with a fast finishing burst to grab third in the $500,000 Inglis Classic behind Golden Slipper favourite Danehill Smile.

Purchased for just $57,500 at the Classic Yearling Sale last year, the Gai Waterhouse trained Lieserl has already y won $104,400 with a win and a placing from just two starts and looks an outstanding prospect for her owners the Cloros family.
