Gold Coast, January 16 – Yarraman Park’s outstanding young sire Magic Albert had not one yearling catalogued in the first four select sessions at Magic Millions but chimed in quickly during Session Five on Monday with two smart types that made $125,000 and $100,000.

Top seller for Magic Albert was the half-brother to five winners including prolific Hong Kong winner Dashing Champion from the Vain Karioi mare Lots of Humour, a full sister to stakes-winner Top Comedian.

Offered by Michelle Johnston as agent, the athletic bay colt was bought by Ted and Vicki Humphries.

Next best for Magic Albert was the half-sister to Group Two winner Maitland Gold offered by Yarraman Park on behalf of breeder Denis Wilton, who raced and still owns Magic Albert.

This lovely chestnut filly took the fancy of Victorian trainer Stephen Theodore, who prepares the top class Magic Albert three year-old Magic Jet, which he also purchased from Yarraman at Magic Millions, paying $60,000 for the colt in 2005.

Magic Jet is a horse of enormous potential with two wins and two seconds from just five starts, his most memorable performance coming when he defeated Churchill Downs in the Group Two MVRC Stutt Stakes only to lose the race on a highly contentious protest.

With natural improvement and further maturity Magic Jet could easily be one of the stars of the autumn.
