Muswellbrook, May 24 – Magic Albert featured at the Muswellbrook meeting last Friday when his two year-old daughter Magic Phoebe won the Star Kingdom Handicap for juveniles on debut for the Paul Perry stable.
An impressive barrier trial winner by five and a half lengths at Newcastle on April 14, Magic Phoebe was well fancied by punters and was able to overcome a wide draw to win the 1000 metre scamper by the best part of a length.
A home-bred for Magic Albert’s owner Dennis Wilton, Magic Phoebe is the first foal of the winning Lion Hunter mare Ugly Juggly, who produced a full sister to Magic Phoebe last spring.
