Brisbane, August 27 – Magic Albert featured at Eagle Farm on Wednesday with a new winner in Specks of Magic, who saluted in the 1200 metre maiden for three year-old fillies.
Trained by Kelly Schweida for Racetree owner Kevin Dixon, Specks of Magic scored by a long neck at just her third race start.
A $60,000 purchase for Mr Dixon from the Fairview Park draft at the 2007 Magic Millions Yearling Sale, Specks of Magic is from the Kala Dancer (GB) mare Diamond Peak, a half-sister to the dam of Group One winner Hill of Grace.
Magic Albert has already had eight winners since the start of the season including metropolitan winners Lieserl and General Albert, the Group two winning son of Zeditave standing this season at a fee of $16,500.
