September 14 – Winners continue to flow for Magic Albert, who sired a treble last Friday with wins for Miss Alberta, Spiritualistic and Magic Tyson.
The Peter Nestor trained Miss Alberta took her record to four wins from six starts when she scored at Wellington by two lengths over 1400 metres.
A $32,000 purchase from the 2006 Scone Yearling Sale, Miss Alberta is a full sister to the good metropolitan winner Toldyas being from Balciano Miss, who is due to foal again to Magic Albert this spring.
Impressive on debut was the Kris Lees trained three year-old gelding Magic Tyson, who skipped away to win his maiden by two and a half lengths over 1000 metres at Port Macquarie.
Magic Tyson was bred and retained to race by Magic Albert’s owner Denis Wilton and is from unraced Made of Gold (USA) mare Maitland Miss, who comes from the family of Group Two winning sprinter Honour the Name.
Maitland Miss is also due to foal again to Magic Albert, who stands at a fee of $16,500.
