Tasmania, September 16 – Four year-old Magic Albert mare Magic Kisses enjoyed her first outing in Tasmania on Sunday, romping right away to break her maiden by four lengths.

Raced by a Prime Thoroughbreds syndicate, Magic Kisses was having her first start for Tasmanian trainer Charlie Goggin having previously been trained on the mainland where she placed at Cranbourne in Victoria and at Victoria Park in Adelaide.

Magic Kisses was purchased by Prime Thoroughbreds for $80,000 from the draft of Milburn Creek Thoroughbreds at the 2005 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

She is a three-quarter sister to smart stakes-winner Calming, but has had an important pedigree update since the time of her purchase with another of her half-sisters Royal Solitaire, emerging as the dam of South African Group One winner War Artist and Group One placed filly Sashenka.

Whatever the future holds for Magic Kisses on the track, she will certainly make into a very nice broodmare when her racing days are done.
