Scoring an easy win at Happy Valley on Wednesday evening was progressive Magic Albert four year-old Magical Beauty, a $140,000 Inglis Easter purchase for the Hong Kong Jockey Club from the Yarraman Park draft. Placed at Sha Tin at his last two starts for Tony Cruz, Magical Beauty powered clear to win over 1650 metres by three lengths as favourite under 60.5 kg with Joao Moreira in the saddle. With two wins and four placings from 10 starts and improving recent form, Magical Beauty is on the up. Bred and sold by Yarraman Park, Magical Beauty is the second winner for Romany Flyer, a three-quarter sister by Catbird to Group III winner Viking Hero. Yarraman Park sold the current yearling from Romany Flyer, a filly by I Am Invincible, for $200,000 at the Magic Millions earlier this year to Gai Waterhouse/ Julian Blaxland.
