Kembla, June 24 – The 1600 metre maiden at the metropolitan meeting at Kembla on Tuesday was won by the Chris Waller trained three year-old Eedeeal, a $550,000 purchase from the draft of Yarraman Park at the 2006 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

The son of Encosta de Lago broke through to score his first win with a tenacious effort to beat Dictatorial by half a neck with five lengths back to the third horse.

Purchased by astute NZ agent Rob McAnulty, who retained a share along with eight other partners, Eedeeal is the second foal of the Last Tycoon (IRE) mare Tycoon Tess, a daughter of dual Group One winning filly Arborea and half-sister to Group Two winner Delta Form.
