Brisbane, October 1 – Magic Albert posted his 17th winner of the season when adding another metropolitan winner to his tally after Albert Cadabra scored at Eagle Farm on Wednesday.
Trained by Lawrie Mayfield-Smith, five year-old Albert Cadabra did best in a tight finish to take the Class Three event over 1200 metres by a half head.
From the Bletchingly mare Our Rosalind, Albert Cadabra has won four races and placed four times from 18 starts.
Magic Albert nearly made it a double in the next race when smart galloper General Albert finished a good third in the Class Five event over 1200 metres.
Magic Albert is in good company with other sires on 17 winners for the season so far including Zabeel, More Than Ready (USA) and Rubiton.
