A record-breaking Inglis Chairman’s Sale saw three of the top six lots sired by I Am Invincible, while Yarraman Park enjoyed 100% clearance selling all five mares offered at this most prestigious of sales.

Elite South African race mares have made quite an impact in Australia, notably for producing current superstar 3YO filly Autumn Glow and a mare with the right profile in Under Your Spell hit the target for Yarraman Park when selling for $1.2 million.

Purchased by Yulong as the Growing Empire Syndicate, Under Your Spell was offered with an early positive test to I Am Invincible in her first season at stud.

An outstanding racemare, Under Your Spell was an elite sprinter winning eight races with a highlight win in the G1 Scottsville Alan Robertson Championship.

She is also a half-sister to G3 winner Witchcraft and comes from a European female family featuring multiple Group-winning stayer Meeznah.

Yarraman Park also offered high-class three-year-old filly Too Darn Lizzie on behalf of her owner Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and the daughter of Too Darn Hot was bought for $2.4 million by champion trainer Ciaron Maher.

Also sold by Yarraman for just under $1 million were Hellbent’s Group-winning daughter Hell Hath No Fury, who made $900,000 to the bid of Katumi Yoshida and Group-placed I Am Invincible mare Dancing Alone, who made $875,000 when bought by Range Park Pty Ltd.

Champion sire I Am Invincible has produced some outstanding racemares and three of them were offered at this sale and duly found homes at the best studs in Australia.

Tom Magnier purchased Tiz Invincible and Estriella for $2.8 million each to add to the star-studded Coolmore broodmare band, while Arrowfield Stud paid $2 million for I Am Me.
