Melbourne, September 26 – Barely a Moment’s promising half-brother Moment of Truth made it back-to-back wins when he took out the Class One event at Ballarat on Tuesday over 1600 metres.

The Lee Freedman trained colt has been in great form since resuming with a second on August 24 and will be worth following when produced in a better class of race.

A $100,000 purchase for successful Victorian syndicators Slade Bloodstock from the Yarraman Park draft at the 2006 Magic Millions Yearling Sale, Moment of Truth has won two races and placed twice from six starts

A good-looking grey by the Highest Honor horse Verglas (IRE), who shuttled to Western Australia for two seasons, Moment of Truth was bred by WA based Roburke Pty Ltd, but was raised at Yarraman Park and offered in their draft at the Gold Coast showcase in January.

He is the fifth foal of the Danehill (USA) mare Lady Danna, the dam of four winners led by three-time Group One winner Barley a Moment, a high class winner of four races and $1.2 million in prizemoney, now at stud in South Australia at Lindsay Park.

Lady Danna produced a colt by Shamardal (USA) last spring, is in foal to Dubawi (IRE), and her yearling filly by Elusive Quality (USA) sold exceptionally well for Yarraman Park at the 2007 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale fetching $425,00 to the bid of Tim Stakemire.
