Sydney, September 18 – Magic Albert has no shortage of stakes performers at present with several classy types finishing in the money in feature events at Rosehill on Saturday led by four year-old entire Ilovethiscity, who finished a gallant neck second to Sincero in the Group I ATC George Main Stakes over 1500 metres.

The Grahame Begg trained stallion hit the front in the straight, before going down narrowly to Stradbroke winner Sincero and will press on the to the Group I ATC Epsom Handicap in two weeks time.

Comeback galloper Albert the Fat, showed he is still a force to be reckoned with at age seven, storming home from the back of the field to be beaten a long neck by Love Conquers All in the Group II ATC Shorts over 1200 metres.

Having his first run for new trainer Chris Waller, the Group I BTC Cup winner looks to have found a new lease of life and can doubtless be placed to advantage this preparation.

The David Payne trained three year-old filly Al’s Magic Miss gained her first taste of Black Type when finishing strongly for second in the Listed ATC Heritage Stakes behind Karuta Queen.

A smart type with two wins and close to $100,000 in prizemoney, Al’s Magic Miss looks to have a bright future.

Magic Albert has already sired 20 winners this season for more than $600,000 in prizemoney putting him ninth on the Australian General Sires List by earnings.
