Winner of the $2million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas in 2022, I Am Invincible gelding King of Sparta is right on track for a return to the Gold Coast after producing a brilliant first up win in the $200,000 BRC Magic Millions Falvelon (1200m) at Doomben on Saturday.
Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden and ridden by Chad Schofield, he blew past his opposition to defeat fellow I Am Invincible gelding Garibaldi by one and a half lengths.

“That was very impressive. We knew that field was not beyond him,” Schofield said.
“He likes to find his feet early, and he relaxed well. With clear room, he was just too good.
“The consensus from the stable was that he would improve with the run, and he is in for a good prep.”
A $700,000 yearling purchase for China Horse Club, Newgate Farm and Starlight Racing from Yarraman Park at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale, the decision was taken to geld him after just four runs and his overall record is now five wins from 18 starts with prizemoney topping $1.6million.
King Of Sparta is raced by a syndicate headed by Yarraman Park and is the fourth foal, and best performer to date for Group III winning Holly Roman Emperor (IRE) mare Octavia.
She has a yearling and weanling colt by I Am Invincible and is back in foal to the champion sire again.
