Brisbane, March 30 – The restricted event over 1200 metres at Doomben on Saturday was won in fine style by the Marju (IRE) gelding Morning Colours, a $130,000 purchase from the Yarraman draft at the 2004 Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
The Bryan Guy trained Morning Colours bolted in to score by three lengths taking his overall record to seven wins from 28 starts with prizemoney of $106,780.
Bred and offered for sale by Yarraman Park, Morning Colours is from the good producer Military Call, who has also left Group Two placed Magic Jet and two other winners.
Yarraman Park enjoyed a good result from Military Call at Magic Millions earlier in the year when her colt by Magic Albert made $85,000.
