Adelaide, April 30 – Magic Albert has been in top form this season adding a new stakes-winner to his tally at Morphettville on Saturday when the Patinack Farm owned Isopach broke his maiden in the Listed SAJC Oakland Plate.

Fifth at his previous start in the Group III SAJC Sires Produce Stakes, the John Thompson trained Isopach appreciated the step up to 1600 metres, finishing strongly to score by half a length.

Consigned to the 2010 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale by Patinack Farm, Isopach was passed in shy of his $50,000 reserve and has now won more than $59,000 in prizemoney.

Isopach is a half-brother to South African Group II winner Curved Ball and Group III placed Swissac being one of five winners from the Zabeel mare Curvaceous, a half-sister to the dam of dual Group I winner Grout from the family of Melbourne Cup winner Subzero.

Isopach is the 11th stakes-winner for Magic Albert and is his second stakes-winner from a daughter of Zabeel joining Group III winner Za Magic.

The sire of more than 80 winners of $2.5 million in prizemoney this season, Magic Albert stands this spring at a fee of $16,500.
