Brisbane, March 5 – Magic Albert was represented by an impressive winner at Doomben on Wednesday when three year-old filly Plain Magic broker her maiden by three and a half lengths.
Resuming from a spell of 18 weeks having finished second at her only two previous runs, Plain Magic was sent out a short priced favourite and never looked in danger of defeat.
Plain Magic runs in the ownership of Racetree proprietor Kevin Dixon and was purchased for $19,000 from the draft of Sellwood Holdings at the 2007 Magic Millions Premier Yearling Sale.
She is a full sister to another handy winner in Mistry being from the Forest Glow (USA) mare Glow Misty for Me, a daughter of stakes-placed Misty Power from a very fast running female family.
