Sydney, November 3 – The Greg Hickman trained filly Tudor Magic defied a lack of interest from punters in scoring a tenacious win at Randwick on Cup Day.

Having just her second race start and resuming from a spell of 23 weeks, Tudor Magic was always up near the lead and fought on well at the finish to take the 1100 metre maiden by a long head.

Retained to race, Tudor Magic is a half-sister to five other winners being from the very good producer Seal Point, a half-sister to the dams of stakes-winners God Has Spoken and Mooball.

Tudor Magic is one of 21 winners since the start of the season for Magic Albert, who is also the sire of a yearling colt from Seal Point, making him a full brother to Tudor Magic.
