Melbourne, November 9 – Our promising young sire I Am Invincible was represented by his second stakes performer at Flemington on Saturday when Silent Whisper finished a good third in the Group III VRC Maribyrnong Plate.
Unlucky on debut when a close up sixth in the $250,000 Inglis Banner, the Lloyd Kennewell trained gelding confirmed that potential when holding third behind Boomwaa in the 1000 metre dash.
A modest $16,000 Inglis Classic purchase for his trainer from the Summerhill Thoroughbreds draft, Silent Whisper looks to have a bright future and is from In a Whisper, a half-sister by Real Quiet (USA) to stakes-winner Wonderer.
I Am Invincible is also the sire of stakes-placed Tetsuko, runner up in the Listed ATC Gimcrack Stakes and New Zealand winner Vinnie Eagle.
