The aptly named Super One maintained his unbeaten record with an impressive win at Kranji on Sunday taking another event the Singapore Golden Horseshoe Series with an easy victory in the IRT Juvenile Stakes.

A $190,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale purchase, Super One replicated his recent debut win, jumping fast for Craig Newitt to race on the pace before forging clear to win by two and a quarter lengths.

“He put himself in the right spot from the start. I just let him do his own things for half of the race as he’s got such a high cruising speed,” said Newitt.

“I was waiting for anything to come and challenge him, but he was doing it so easy. I switched him right on at the top of the straight, but once I knew the race was won, I shut it down in the last 200m.

“He’s improved so much from his first run and he had another good blow today. The last Leg is in three weeks’ time and we’ll just have to keep him on top of his game.

“He’s a two-year-old with the head of a five-year-old. He’s just so professional and I think he’s going to be even better as a three-year-old, probably a miler.”

Super One is the latest racetrack star for Yarraman Park’s sire star I Am Invincible.

He was purchased by his trainer Michael Freedman in partnership with New Zealand based bloodstock agent Michael Wallace for $190,000 from the draft of Broadwater Thoroughbreds at the 2014 Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

Super One, raced by Andre Lim of Super Easy fame and other partners, is the first named foal of his dam, the unraced Tale of the Cat mare Tails Wins and was bred by Reg Kemister.

Tails Wins is from the six time winning and stakes performed US import Multiple Wins, a daughter of stakes-winner Princess Sybil from the family of Group I winning European sprinter Les Arcs, winner of a Royal Ascot Golden Jubilee Stakes.

Tails Wins has a weanling filly by I Am Invincible.
