Under the Friday night lights of Canterbury Park, the Les Bridge-trained three-year-old filly by Hellbent, Scintilla, made it back-to-back wins at Canterbury Park.

With apprentice Braith Nock in the saddle on both occasions, this time in Race 6, the duo jumped well from barrier three in a six-horse field to sit one off over the 1250m trip.

With the leader extending to a three-length margin, the pair sat patiently with Nock asking for an effort at the 300m mark where the flying filly responded to win by 2.28 lengths affirming her favouritism.

Scintilla is the out of the Lonhro mare Crystal Whip.

The momentum of Hellbent continues on with a NZ$300,000 yearling result at the recently concluded New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Yearling Sale, and with seven winners last week – Scintilla, Hellinda, Navillus, Hellivit, Helluva, Hellish and Ironclad – Hellbent sits 12th on the Sires’ Premiership by winners with 84.
