Brisbane, January 29 – Breaking his maiden at Eagle Farm on Wednesday was improving Fastnet Rock colt Pulsar, a $225,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for Cameron Cooke Bloodstock / Tony Gollan Racing.
Appreciating a step up to 1500 metres, the Tony Gollan trained Pulsar forged clear to win by a length and three-quarters at his third start.
Bred by Yarraman Park in partnership, three year-old Pulsar is the first winner for Star Band (USA), an unraced half-sister by Dixieland Band to Group III winner Common World from the family of champion sires Encosta de Lago and Flying Spur.
Yarraman Park will offer the current yearling from Star Band, a filly by I Am Invincible, at the 2014 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale as Lot 464.
