Posting a stylish victory in the Listed Secretariat Stakes at Turffontein in South Africa on Saturday was lightly raced Magic Albert three year-old Suyoof, a $150,000 Inglis Easter Session II purchase from the Yarraman Park draft. Trained by Mike de Kock, the Shadwell owned Suyoof was a last start winner at the same venue and carried top weight of 60 kg to win this 1400 metre contest by the best part of a length. Bred by Yarraman in partnership, Suyoof has won two of three starts and is a half-brother to spring Group III winner Charmed Harmony being from good producer Magic Harmony. Suyoof is the 21st stakes-winner for Yarraman Park’s stalwart sire Magic Albert, who has seven entries for Magic Millions and 14 for Inglis Classic.
