South Africa, May 6 – The recent hot run of success being enjoyed by Australian thoroughbreds in South Africa continued on Sunday when three year-old colt Readytogorightnow took out the Group III Tekkie Town Winter Guineas at Kenilworth.
Prepared by Justin Snaith, the son of More Than Ready (USA) produced a career best performance to win the 1600 metre feature by a length and a quarter.
Stakes-placed previously when third in the Group III Cape Classic at Kenilworth, Readytogorightnow has the overall record of three wins from 10 starts.
An $85,000 purchase for James Bester Bloodstock from the Yarraman Park draft at the 2011 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale, Readytogorightnow runs for Messrs H Adams, B Kantor & M J Jooste & Mrs I Jooste.
He is the second winner from Storm Fronts, a half-sister by Hurricane Sky to stakes-winner Miss Minden, the dam of Group I winner Miss Danehill and Group II winner Pentastic.
