South Africa, November 2 – The Charles Laird stable was in the winners list at Turffontein in South Africa on Saturday with promising Danehill Dancer (IRE) four year-old High Speed Rush, a $100,000 purchase from the 2006 Magic Millions draft of Yarraman Park.

The talented gelding took the open handicap over 1600 metres by half a length in taking his overall record to three wins from 11 starts.

Another successful Australian purchase for Charles Laird, High Speed Rush is the third foal of the Centaine mare Go Hayley Go, a daughter of Group Three winner Sneetch and half-sister to this year’s US Group One winner Black Mamba.
