Sydney, July 27 – Talented Magic Albert filly Albertina resumed from a spell to score a stylish win in the Class Four event over 1200 metres at Gosford on Thursday.

The Gai Waterhouse trained filly was tuned up with a couple of recent barrier trials and had little difficulty in racing clear over the concluding stages to win by a length taking her record to three wins from four starts.

Bred and offered for sale by Yarraman Park, Albertina fetched $115,000 to the bid of Denise Martin of Star Thoroughbreds at the 2005 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale and is the most expensive filly sired by Magic Albert.

A half-sister to six winners including good metropolitan performer Newington Style, Albertina is the eighth and final foal of stakes-placed Vaslav (USA) mare Pagan Dance who died in 2005.

Albertina became yet another Magic Albert winner to collect a BOBS bonus from Racing NSW. His progeny have won 31 bonuses totaling $237,500 for the season.

Magic Albert has been strongly supported this year at $16,5000 and will cover a full book of mares.
