Carrying the colours of Fairway Thoroughbreds, two year-old I Am Invincible filly Sounds of Heaven made a winning debut at Newcastle on Saturday.
Trained by Annabel Neasham, Sounds of Heaven looked super sharp in a recent barrier trial win and duly proved too classy for her rivals in the 900m juvenile maiden.

She produced a similar effort to her trial under race conditions, surging out of the gates to lead and was strong to the line winning what looked a competitive race on paper by the best part of a length.
A $1.1million Magic Millions purchase for James Harron Bloodstock from the Segenhoe Stud draft, Sounds of Heaven runs in the colours of her breeder John Camilleri of Fairway Thoroughbreds. She was bred in a foal share arrangement with Yarraman and Camilleri elected to buy them out and keep the well bred filly to race.
She is the second foal and first winner for Group II placed Villa Carlotta, a half-sister to US based triple Group I winning mare In Italian, who comes from the Twyla branch of the famed Dancing Show (USA) that has given us Redoute’s Choice and so many more G1 winners.
Villa Carlotta was covered again last spring by I Am Invincible, who has sired 11 Australian two year-old winners this season, five of them stakes-winners!
