Gold Coast, May 22 – Yarraman Park will close out another great year in the sale ring with a strong consignment for the 2007 Magic Millions National Sale at the Gold Coast in May/June featuring 22 weanlings, a dozen mares and nine yearlings.

The MM National Weanling Sale has become the premier source of commercial grade weanlings in this country, attracting astute pinhookers from throughout Australia and New Zealand, with the Yarraman draft a ‘must inspect’ for the serious investor.

Highlights include a nice selection of weanlings by popular and proven young sire Magic Albert, plus the standout youngsters listed below:

Lot 284 Colt Choisir x Twilight Hour (NZ) – Good style of colt by champion sprinter and leading first season sire (Northern and Southern Hemispheres) from stakes-winning proven producer.

Lot 285 Filly Tiger Hill (IRE) x Unshooda (GB) – From the first Australian crop of proven Group One producing son of Danehill. First foal of stakes placed Machiavellian mare from the family of champion America 2YO filly Chilukki.

Lot 327 Colt Red Ransom (USA) x Belladane – Bred on the same cross as Group One winner Red Dazzler, by Red Ransom (USA) from a Danehill (USA) mare.

Lot 343 Colt Tale of the Cat (USA) x Call Me Pretty (USA) – From a record breaking American family. Third foal of unraced half-sister to stakes-winner Warrior Queen, a $US2million broodmare purchase for Jim and Dean Fleming, whose yearling by Storm Cat was the highest priced filly at the 2005 Keeneland September Yearling Sale when she made $US3.8 million.

Lot 406 Colt Al Maher x Go With the Wind – From the first crop of superbly bred Group One winner Al Maher and out of a half sister to outstanding dual Group One winner Bomber Bill, 23 wins and $1.8 million.

Lot 410 Filly Exceed and Excel x Gypsy Soul (NZ) – From the second crop of a young sire whose yearlings have sold for up to $1.2 million. An attractive filly and half-sister to Econsul, winner of the Group One MRC Caulfield Guineas.

Lot 515 Filly Lonhro x Savannah Rain – From the second crop of a champion racehorse whose yearlings have sold for up to $NZ1,050,000 million. From the prolific Black Type ‘Tennessee’ family.

Broodmares to be offered by Yarraman include the proven stakes producer CANTINELA (dam of Cocinero, Listed winner of $356,650) in foal to Commands; young Victorian stakes-winner CARLTON SPIRIT in foal to Anabaa (USA) and well-related CATMINT, a half-sister to stakes-winner Heritiere and daughter of stakes-winner Money Thinks, offered in foal to General Nediym.

Rounding out the consignment are nine yearlings by Encosta De Lago (2), Anabaa (USA), Catbird, Elusive Quality (USA), Fusaichi Pegasus (USA), Royal Academy (USA), Viscount and Untouchable.
