Yarraman Park has announced service fees for 2013 with proven Group I producing sire Magic Albert heading the roster at a fee of $19,250.
“Our sires have been very popular with breeders, so we see no reason to be making any significant changes in fee, although we have brought Magic Albert back a touch on last year,” said Harry Mitchell.
Magic Albert has sired the winners of more than $21 million in prizemoney including 15 stakes-winners – four of them the Group I winners – Albert the Fat, Ilovethiscity, Magic Cape and Fighting Warrior.
He sired over 100 Australian winners last season including five stakes-winners and already has close to 80 on the board for this season.
“Magic Albert has had a great year in the sale ring, his progeny averaging $136,000 at Magic Millions, which was 9.9 times his 2010 fee,” said Mitchell.
“He also had the equal top lot at the Inglis Classic ($170,000) and had a colt from Eve Angelene that made $HK3.2 million ($397,516) at the HK International Sale on the weekend, so he has a lot of nice stock in the pipeline.”
Hinchinbrook and I Am Invincible will remain at the same fee as last year.
“The first foals by Hinchinbrook have delighted everyone and as we all know I Am Invincible has produced some lovely yearlings that have sold for up to $160,000, so we expect both young sires to be fully booked again this year,” Mitchell added.
