February 19 – Yarraman Park will return to the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne next month with a quality draft featuring three yearlings from the first crop of our exciting first season sire Hinchinbrook, a three-quarter brother to current leading Australian sire Snitzel.

A studio guest on TVN’s Thoroughbreds program this week, Yarraman Park’s Harry Mitchell was quick to praise the Premier Sale.

“We’ve been watching it for the last few years and it’s become a very strong market for the right type of horse, so you want to be a part of that and this year we felt we had the right horses to take down there,” Mitchell said, adding that Yarraman Park would continue to support Inglis Premier going forward.

Yarraman Park will offer 10 yearlings including three by Hinchinbrook, who sold so well at Magic Millions earlier in the year.

Lot 27 Filly Hinchinbrook x Advantage Receiver – Third foal of a half-sister to this season’s stakes–winning two year-old Oakleigh Girl and daughter of Group I winner Miss Kournikova.

“She’s very closely related to Oakleigh Girl, who won brilliantly at Flemington during the spring, as she is by Snitzel, who is of course a three-quarter brother to this filly’s sire Hinchinbrook,” Mitchell pointed out.

Lot 131 Colt Hinchinbrook x Cross Dresser (NZ) – From a half-sister to the dams of stakes-winners Flying Tristram and Wolfe Dreams from the family of Champion 2YO Dance Hero.

Lot 401 Filly Hinchinbrook x Mizzle (USA), by Rahy – Half-sister to stakes-winner and Group I placed Soft Sand, who ran second to Appearance in the VRC Myer Classic.

“Soft Sand did her racing down in Melbourne so it made sense to bring this filly down here,” said Mitchell.

Also in the draft is one youngster by Yarraman Park’s boom young sire I Am Invincible, the current Leading Australian First Season Sire by winners and earnings.

Lot 171 Colt I Am Invincible x Dubai Fling – First foal of a winning daughter of Group I Royal Ascot Coronation Stakes winner Kissing Cousin.
