Yarraman Park finished as the second leading vendor by aggregate at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale selling 20 mares for $7,610,000.
Yarraman sold a couple of high profile race mares off the track in Stretan Angel and Lilac for $1.6million and $1.5million on Tuesday and on Wednesday the top seller was a lovely young mare in foal to I Am Invincible.
Spirit of Boom mare Mighty was much admired and sold for $700,000.
A fast metro winning half-sister to brilliant multiple stakes-winner Isotope, Mighty was passed in at this sale last year, but with the addition of a positive test to I Am Invincible hit the target with buyers.
She was snapped up by Hall of Fame Bloodstock with Craig Anderson of Amarina Farm signing the docket for the filly, who has an impressive pedigree dual Group I winner Yankee Rose, the dam of Japanese Champion 2YO and 3YO Filly Liberty Island.
Anderson was quick to highlight the positives for a young mare that made $300,000 at Magic Millions as a yearling.
“Being in foal to I Am Invincible and we liked the great pedigree that we have had something to do with in the past,” he said.
It’s a family on the up as Isotope was sold at this sale in 2023 to Yulong for $2.3million and she has a yearling filly by Alabama Express, a colt to follow by I Am invincible and is back in foal again to Alabama Express.
Additional mares in foal to I Am Invincible that also sold for a premium price were Group II winner Impendabelle for $800,000 and stakes producer Skagerrak for $700,000.
