The Group III MRC Zeditave Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday produced a quinella for the Yarraman Park sires with I Am Invincible colt Overshare triumphing over progressive Hinchinbrook gelding Wild Heart, both three year-olds prepared by Team Hawkes.

Overshare improved on his last start second to win the 1200 metre sprint by a long neck.

“He should have won the other day,” co-trainer Wayne Hawkes said.

“He’s been putting it all together and has been going really well this time in.

“It was a great effort today.”

A $320,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Victoria Park draft for Spendthrift Australia, Overshare has three wins from nine starts and prizemoney topping $240,000.

Now a two time stakes-winner, he is the first winner for Group III placed Redoute’s Choice mare Savannah’s Choice, who boasts an impressive international pedigree.

Savannah’s Choice is a half-sister to Champion Japanese 3YO Filly Cesario, the dam of Japan Cup winner Epiphania and the 2015 Champion 2YO Japanese Colt Leontes.

I Am Invincible was also prominent in the Group I races at Caulfield on Saturday with Hellbent finishing third in the Group I MRC Oakleigh Plate, while his two year-old filly Oohood was third in the Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes.
