Sydney, April 10 – The 2011 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale proved a successful one for Yarraman Park with 11 yearlings selling for $3,530,000 and a further six selling for $505,000 during Session II.

Fastnet Rock has been a favourite with Yarraman Park and his stock accounted for five of the six most expensive yearlings in the draft, the top seller (pictured) the first foal of Banc de Fortune, a cracking colt that made $575,000 when knocked down to James Bester/Demi O’Byrne.

His dam, a stakes-winning daughter of Galileo (IRE) will be offered by Yarraman at the Inglis Broodmare Sale this week as Lot 315.

Top selling filly was the Fastnet Rock three-quarter sister to recent Group II WATC Sires Produce Stakes winner Bliss Street that made $500,000.

From smart stakes-winner Jade Diva, she was purchased by Ingham Racing.

A terrific colt by Exceed and Excel from stakes-winner Charmview will run in the colours of Dr and Mrs Edmund Bateman after being purchased by James Harron and De Burgh Equine for $425,000, while a Fastnet filly from Champagnecharlotte (USA) also went to Ingham Racing for $425,000.

Yarraman Park would like to congratulate all successful purchasers and wish them the best of luck with their new acquisitions.
