The Ingham family have enjoyed much success since switching their allegiance to champion trainer Chris Waller with Fastnet Rock mare Bubbles ‘n’ Boats carrying their all cerise colours to victory at Canterbury on Wednesday.
A talented, but troublesome horse earlier in her career, Bubbles ‘n’ Boats was sent straight to the front by Tye Angland and led throughout to take the 1900 metre Benchmark 70 event by a long neck.
A $425,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Ingham Bloodstock from the draft of Yarraman Park, Bubbles ‘n’ Boats was bred by the Dufficy brothers and has won three races and placed four times from 15 starts.
She is one of three winners from Champagnecharlotte (USA), a half-sister by Rahy to Group II winners Esteemed Friend and Badouizm.
Champagnecharlotte (USA was on-sold last year for $29,000 at the Magic Millions Broodmare Sale.
