Champion sire I Am Invincible has some special two-year-olds running this season with a G1-winning colt in New Zealand in Seize the Day and brilliant filly Chayan, who sold for a jaw dropping $5.6 million at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale, and he added a new juvenile Stakes winner to the tally on Saturday at Doomben.
The Bjorn Baker-trained filly I Am Dirty was sixth on debut in a strong race at Randwick on April and then booked herself a trip to the Brisbane Winter Carnival with a stylish win at the Gosford Saturday standalone meeting on May 9.
Stepped up in class and distance for the $160,000 Listed BRC Bill Carter Stakes (1350m), I Am Dirty was all class of Rachel King, pouncing on the leaders and bolting away to win by two lengths.

A $600,000 Magic Millions purchase from Ridgmont for Bjorn Baker Racing/Clarke Bloodstock Pty Ltd, I Am Dirty has two wins from three starts with prizemoney in excess of $200,000.
Speaking on behalf of connections, bloodstock agent James Clarke highlighted that the stable had always have very good opinion of the filly.
“She’s always been a filly we have held in very high and she’s shown a lot of talent from day one,” said Clarke.
“She put the writing on the wall when she won the other day at Gosford and Bjorn was very confident coming today. So, yeah, it was a good ride and she won very well.
“She was an expensive yearling, so getting a two-year-old win like that is very important, and I’m very hopeful for her future. She’s always shown a lot, so to get that on a record was good.
When asked if she may back up next Saturday in the $1m G2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m), Clarke felt it was highly likely.
“I’d say there’s every chance that he (Baker) might consider backing up next Saturday,” said Clarke.
“Now that she’s sort of ticked up the 1350m box and. We’ll wait and see how she pulls up, but the mile will be a question mark – 1400 metres, I’d say, certainly.”
Bred by Cunningham Thoroughbreds and partners, she is the first foal from fast G3-winning So You Think mare Dirty Thoughts, who comes from the family of $1.9 million earning multiple Group-winning stayer Grey Song.
Newgate as agent for Ridgmont sold a yearling full sister to I Am Dirty at Magic Millions this year for $300,000 to Equine Growth Fund/SP Bloodstock/Blueblood Thoroughbreds/Ciaron Maher Bloodstock.
I Am Dirty is the 126th Stakes winner for champion sire I Am Invincible.
