Tasmania, February 22 – Progressive Magic Albert three year-old Too Many Reds made it three wins in succession when he strolled clear to win the $50,000 Veloia 3YO Classic over 1200 metres at Launceston on Sunday.

The Charlie Goggin trained gelding has been in top form this preparation, reeling off three straight wins for his Prime Thoroughbreds group of owners, his overall record now four wins and two placings from seven starts with prizemoney of $77,665.

"He was very good last season but he suffered a tendon injury and we had to tip him out," Charlie Goggin said.

"He was impressive in winning his first two this prep over 1100 metres and while he was stepping up to 1200 metres I was very confident he’d handle it well and that’s how it panned out."

"I fully expect him to develop into a high class sprinter next season," he added.

Bought privately from the paddock at Yarraman Park by Joe O’Neill, Too Many Reds is from the Rubiton mare Red Centre, a daughter of stakes-placed Land of Dreams.

Red Centre delivered a full brother to Too Many Reds last spring and was subsequently covered by Trotamondo (Chi).
