Last year Mike O’Donnell of Fairhill Farm sold an I Am Invincible filly from Limbo Down at Inglis Classic for $330,000 to Star Thoroughbreds / Randwick Bloodstock and it’s fairly safe to say she must be showing good ability as they stepped up to buy her full sister on Sunday at Riverside Stables for $350,000.

A quality athletic individual very similar to her sister from last year, the session topping filly is also a full sister to smart metropolitan winner Limbo Soul and is the sixth foal from Fastnet Rock mare Limbo Down (NZ), whose family features Handsome Ransom and Danajaya.

“The full sister to this filly, Joviality is in work with Chris Waller and due to trial on Monday, weather permitting,” said Mike O’Donnell.

“We thought $245,000 so it’s a very good result

“She was very, very busy this week with all of her parades, we knew a lot of people liked her.

“We’re very pleased for Reg Kemister who owns the mare, it’s a great result for him and a great result for the farm.’’

Chris Waller and Star Thoroughbreds have enjoyed great previous success purchasing an I Am Invincible filly from Fairhill Farm at Inglis Classic having secured multiple Group winning filly Fiesta in 2015 for $150,000.

The Darley Princess Series winner of 2018, Fiesta has a formidable record and has won over $1.2 million in prizemoney.

I Am Invincible had three yearlings sell in the opening session with a colt from Head Over Heels and a filly from Jemerica fetching $200,000 and $180,000, both youngsters consigned by Yarraman Park.

I Am Invincible finished day one with an average $243,333 making him the leading sire by average.

Yearlings from the last crop of Hinchinbrook were also popular on day one with his best result coming for Bell River Thoroughbreds with a colt from Heat of the Fire fetching $240,000 when snapped up by China Horse Club/ Newgate Bloodstock.
