Hellbent concluded a phenomenal week with a G1-perofrming son in the G1 epsom Handicap at Royal Randwick on Saturday, 4 October, however that’s not where it started for the G1-winning, G1-producing son of I Am Invincible.
Wednesday evening at Sha Tin it was the Mark Newnham-trained four-year-old Invincible Ibis who turned heads with a dazzling last-to-first two-length win over the 1400m carrying 60kg.
A NZ$425,000 New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run Sale purchase by Newnham at the 2023 edition of the sale, he said, following the race:

Fast forward to Saturday, and in the G3 Breeders’ Plate, it was Hellbent’s two-year-old colt son, Revengeance, who was one to watch running third and doing his best work late for Gai Waterhouse, Adrian Bott and Darby Racing.
Soon after, Inglis announced Hellbent’s six-year-old daughter Magic Time – in the colours of Yulong, bred by Milburn Creek – would race in Inglis’ slot in the $20 million The Everest.
To round out the week, Inglis Millennium winner Fully Lit ran the race of his career leading the G1 Epsom Handicap and giving the unbeaten filly and eventual winner Autumn Glow a run for her money, taking her right to the last 50m and finishing in second.
Hellbent’s From just 13 race starts, Fully Lit has won his connections $1,824,800 in earnings – a great return on the $60,000 REDFOX Racing paid for the four-year-old at the 2023 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
