October 2 – Peter Moody and Luke Nolen do love a Bel Esprit and this one came out and won by seven lengths on debut at Ballarat on Wednesday.
Three year-old gelding Bedisguised relished the heavy 10 conditions, surging clear to win as he pleased and if we found out one thing about him today it’s that he loves the mud!
“You have to be happy from what we saw of him today and I do have a soft spot for the sire,” quipped Luke Nolen.
A $115,000 Magic Millions purchase from the draft of Yarraman Park for Moody Racing, Bedisguised is the second winner from stakes-placed Magic Harmony, a half-sister by Danehill Dancer (IRE) to Group III winner Life’s a Bounty and stakes-winner Miss Prospect, the dam of Group I MRC Blue Diamond winner Reward for Effort and grand-dam of Group I ATC Golden Slipper winner Overreach.
Magic Harmony has a yearling colt by Magic Albert and is due to foal to champion sprinter Dream Ahead (USA).
