Scone, November 23 – Magic Albert has been enjoying his best ever season and added a smart new winner to his tally at Scone on Tuesday when two year-old filly Michelle Magic thrashed the opposition to win on debut by four lengths.
The Paul Perry trained filly had the benefit of a recent trial and jumped from barrier one giving nothing else a chance in the 900 metre dash in what was an eye catching performance.
A homebred for Dennis Wilton, who raced her sire Magic Albert, Michelle Magic is the second foal and second winner for the Lion Hunter mare Ugly Juggly, who was also a winner at two.
Ugly Juggly has a yearling full sister to Michelle Magic and delivered a colt by Trotamondo (Chi) this spring.
Magic Albert has sired 47 winners this season placing him sixth on the Leading Australian Sires List by winners behind only Encosta de Lago, Commands, Redoute’s Choice, Lonhro and More Than Ready (USA), so he the son of Zeditave certainly keeping good company.
