Sydney, October 3 – The Listed ATC Gimcrack Stakes run at Randwick last Saturday is the first stakes race of the season for juvenile fillies with the Yarraman Park bred and sold Jade Marauder running home well to grab third behind Hussousa and Snipzu.
Trained by Chris Waller, Jade Marauder (pictured as a yearling) got back in the field and finished off strongly in a most encouraging debut.
A $500,000 Inglis Easter purchase for the Ingham family, Jade Marauder is a three-quarter sister to this season’s Group III winning filly Bliss Street being by Fastnet Rock from the smart stakes-winner Jade Diva.
Jade Diva has no yearling for the sales next year but has already produced a colt this spring by Wanted and is booked to visit our young sire Hinchinbrook.
A $100,000 Magic Millions purchase for astute Perth trainer Dan Morton, Bliss Street again ran well at Flemington on Sunday finishing second in the Group II VRC Edward Manifold Stakes behind Mosheen with another Yarraman sold filly in Celebrity Girl finishing third.
